This video is a collection of the various types of animation I tried during my year 13 coursework on animation for my Photography A-level.
These animations were the stepping stones I needed to lead up to making my final piece for that coursework which was called "Harry Potter and the Magical Time Travelling Rowing Boat", stupid title I know but I like it :)
To make my final piece I used different mediums and techniques with these animations to see which worked best and eventually came to the conclusion that Stop Motion and Lego were the easiest and most effective way to get my story across in an interesting and engaging way.
The music was originally a track from Mylo Vs. Miami Sound Machine called "Doctor Pressure", which worked well after I edited a few areas but this new music created by me was the hardest I've ever worked on a piece of music.
This was also the first time I used my new MIDI controller (A Behringer UMA 25S) which broke halfway through working on this piece, I don't recommend buying one as the replacement was also broken when it arrived.
Thinking back now most of this hard work and stressing was over things that didn't matter in the slightest.
This is because I got so obsessive in trying to figure out a certain part of music each time, which resulted in being unable to step back and detach from what I was working on and realise that it didn't matter in the slightest.
Overall I'm much happier with this piece and have learnt a valuable lesson that taking time out to reassess and relax for a while really helps you to see what really matters and not carry on ruining a good thing.

I liked how the "the end" letters were falling down, up, down
