Book of the Week Review of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. This book is probably my favourite read of 2011. Finally we get to see behind the curtain and know how Steve Jobs did the things that he did. In this video I share my insights on what made Steve such a unique innovator. His legacy will live on for many years, and I hope my video encourages you to read this book.

  • just read this book after long pauses.. I myself liked the first half of the book all the way to returning to apple the most.. it gave view how different/crazy jobs really was. I think there could have been something more into the chapters about the later products. Its big book but some parts it still felt little condensed. I still liked the book a lot it was great reading and gave excellent and probably most accurate insight about what really happened in his life.

  • @konttka I agree the product description parts felt a little lacking later in the book. I think that Isaacson's focus here is to stay with Jobs as a person first, and it takes away from the Apple story at times. I read recently that he has already started work on a revised edition, so perhaps that will enlarge the second half. Thanks again for your comments!!

  • Agreed. A wonderful review to a fantastic book. I love how you spent more time on the lessons rather than the story. Great approach.

  • @chrislane535 thank you! glad you enjoyed and thanks for your comments and favouriting!

  • WONDERFUL review. Very insightful and quite persuasive in a good way to read about the fantastic life of Steve Jobs. <3

  • @skatingty Thanks for the comment! It was a challenging book to review, because the story is so long and involved. I wanted to try to share the lessons rather than the story, but I highly recommend reading it for yourself :)
