Cool, you seem to know what you are talking about! I heard that they don't make the 4D's anymore. Not sure whether that's including the 4DKs or not. But personally I thought the 4DK was a more thorough design. More efficient than the 4B's. And you know... they still make the 4B! At least I know two factories (dalian and another one) still make them. I guess the 4B might have been more of an icon for chinese diesel engines. It was the loco of my childhood! lol

Great contrast between the red & cream DF4DK hauling the passenger train and the dark green DF4B hauling the freight. Nice chugging noise coming from both machines!
