Marshall 1959 reissue - pre Mod 5

Just some bluesy noodling using my American Special Strat. I sent this amp to Rockstah to have it modded, and wanted to record what it sounded like in stock form.

Are you using a powerbreak in this video? I really like that level of distortion.

Yeah, but the channel volume is way low! Any "distortion" is probably thanks to the Texas Special pickups, but is sounds pretty clean to me!

Even with the Power Breaker? By the way nice gear,I have a very similar one, a 1959slp a 1960 cab, a plus Strat from the 90s and a Les Paul traditional Pro.

At the beginning is the level that I liked. I guess it's not distortion, more like break up, which is what I like.

Thanks, but it was way too loud and clean for me! Classic sounding, but hopefully the Mod 5 will give it killer Van Halen tone that can be backed off to sound like this video. Stay tuned!

It sounds great , no need to spend money in mods with a Plexi IMO
