Hacking LG Rumor Rumour LG260 Virgin Mobile Part 2-1 of 4-2

This is video tutorial on how to 'hack' the LG Rumor/Rumour.
Part1- The first part is for showing the codes you can do, without using the USB cable
Part2- Hooking it up to BitPim
Part3- Hooking it up to BitPim Again
Part4- Summing Everything Up

I've noticed there isn't a lot tutorials out there for the LG Rumor with Virgin Mobile Provider here in Canada. These videos hopefully come in handy for those people because I know when I first started customizing my phone, I could find very little info out there.

I do not claim to be a professional, as with everything, there is a chance, you might ruin your phone so do be cautious and proceed at your own risk.

Yeah, you can consider it a 'unlock' code for the most part. The rumour doesn't really need those codes to access the filesystem but since bitpim doesn't support the lx260 aka rumour. The closest phone I can find to it (bitpim wise) does require those codes which is why all the noise making.

how do yo find the service code and is the unlock code the same?

ive been trying to plug in my phone but bitpim doesnt see it?

You know when the phone was acting crazy the number is was typing was the code
