The only thing they screwed up in the series was the mix of Gwen Stacey and Felicia Hardys stories

@ranchnugget The Kingpin is a fairly tough guy in the comics, though he doesn't have superpowers he has great strength and durability. he's literally a guy who packs a lot of power behind that large body of his. In the series Spidey probably got beat up coz his fighting technique wasn't the right one to use in battle. but yeah Kingpin's a villain that shouldn't be underestimated.
