well, what did you expect? whirling winds, lightning from everyone's hand? doesn't really work that way...

well, it's the fact that it's a ritual that counts. same thing with prayer in other faiths. whether it be as elaborate as this, or as simple as praying before bed in the christian faith.

Wouldn't it be easier to just say "We call on every god and goddess in the universe by every name they have ever been called." It would have had the same effect and saved 13 valuable minutes of my life.
