When JACK became back WCBS-FM !

On July 12, 2007, two years after the shocking switch (listen to my other clip), New York City happily met back its Oldies station.
The new owners kicked the JACK format off the 101,1 frequency of NYC and flipped it back to WCBS-FM. The whole change lasts 30 minutes, and as you know, Youtube allows only 10-minute segments, sorry !
But at least you'll hear the first ten minutes of the switch, enjoy and feel free to comment !
As you'll hear, the last JACK song is something called, I think, "Don't stop believing". It ends cold on purpose to remind the blunt way WCBS-FM DJs were treated, especially Bill Brown.
And, as the last song before JACK was "Summer Wind", they had the great idea of slowly getting it back on air, followed by a great sound-and-music countdown from 1964.
Enjoy the first 10 minutes of that historical come-back !

We are getting there! 101 WcbsFm is now the # 2 radio station in NYC! next stop, NUMBER ONE ONCE AGAIN!!!!! thanks to everyone for our success, because without you, we would not be where we are!!!!

Three years today, June 3 rd, that dark cloud came over the tri state area... but we are back and still going strong!!!!!
