Americans & others around the world speak & write English, yet are not British. Phlilp & Alexander are always refered to as King(s) of Macedon, yet having conquered the Hellenic states why are they not called King of Greece then? Because they are Macedonian. @Zeetzma continue... they were Greek, they spoke GREEK, not Bulgarian :)) the Mcedonian Greek dialect was the same as the Dorian Greek dialect of the Spartans. The Macedonians also believed that they were descendants of the Greek hero Hercules, the Dorian Spartans too believed they descended from Hercules . They also wrote Greek, and worshiped the 12 Greek Gods as all Greeks did, they also participated in the Olympic games , where only Greeks were allowed to participate. .. Now go eat bananas
