Helen Reddy (born October 25, 1941) is an Australian singer-songwriter and actress. She was born into a well-known Australian show business family in Melbourne, Victoria. She has won a Grammy Award, appeared on Broadway and feature films, and was credited with writing and singing one of the most iconic and culturally significant songs of the 1970s, "I Am Woman".

  • My favorite Helen Reddy song! I remember first hearing this on WHBF-AM 1270 in Rock Island, IL in 1973 when I was seven years old! What is it with this fascination Helen has singing about mentally ill young women? LOL! First it was Ruby (Red Dress); a year later, it was Angie (Baby)! Two great songs, nonetheless!
