They truly don't like people dancing at the Acropolis. What's up with that?

Unfortunately, I've seen the outtakes with Matt and knew I could be causing trouble. In hindsight - would have been more impressive if I continued on and got more whistles in my direction.

It's a policy of the Ministry of Culture to not let people do any act that might "violate" the image of a monument while somebody is recording it (video or photograph). So, they have guards ready to interfere every time. Dancing is one of the things that guards are ordered to stop.

I know, it's a bit weird. I live in Greece myself and I still can't understand why they have taken the measures at such an extent!

i am now slightly less puzzled at the whistling - these are strange rules nonetheless.

also, i heard that matt actually got arrested for his dance at the acropolis (it's in his lecture q&a video).
