  • hey Jeremy, would you say that Asus is a reputable company? and also, I would like to build a mineral oil pc for a school project, and I have a question: you used silicone adhesive around the CPU- was that just to hold the heatsink in place or was that to seal off the CPU so that the thermal grease wouldn't wash away?

  • @S4lsn1p3d I like asus. The silicone was the hold the heatsink in place, but it didn't work to well. We ended up using the plastic bracket.

  • you are very smart :) how old are you?

  • @adilsokolovic12 This video is 2 years old. I'm 20 now.

  • hello, i have a question... is that good idea to buy a new processor to my motherboard which is FoxConn NF4SLI7AA-8EKRS2... it has an Intel Pentium 4 3.00ghz and i want to change it for Intel Pentium D 830 3.00ghz or Intel Pentium D 930 3.00ghz... will that work fine if im going to buy one of them?

    P.S srorry for my english

  • @TheKamillo666 Id really recommend a new motherboard and CPU. The pentium Ds run really hot and are not great CPUS.

  • @laugurinn Be very careful with vacuum cleaners near your computer. They generate a lot of static electricity.

  • Jeremy, my Network Technology class built the mineral oil PC in late 2005 semester. It ran surprising well.

  • @adilsokolovic12 I'm dating sciguy14 for sure! :D I have a mad crash on him after seeing his video, but I'm a guy so I'm not sure if it will turn out well.

  • @phobos001 check the thermal paste between the CPU and Cooler , it might have been dried out and the direct contact between the two is generating heat and very dangerous.

    *check case fan,chasis,cpu.

    *dust!!

*positioning fans and creating a dynamic air flow (intake-->exhaust) (exhaust<-----intake).

    Good Luck!

  • Wow! Really informative, i learned a lot

  • well made videos, u get to the point, explain it well in detail and aren't biased like my people who claim to be tech experts out there who are obviously idoits

  • Man, you got some realy nice vids. Keep it up! ;)

  • I'm on phase change sites where the guys reach cryogenic temperatures. One of the cheapest ideas I've seen, although not very practical, was simply burying a propane tank of water in the garden pumping the water back into the house, using the ground as a heat dump.

  • @Digiscat how?
