I use this device with BD lancets since BD ceased making their lancing device as an alternate lancing device. Excellent device, almost as low in pain to my Accu-Chek Multiclix. BD and Owen Mumford make very nice lancets with caps/covers that can be put on the lancet once used. For safety to avoid a "stick" injury, use a "passive" re-capping technique where the cap is not in your hand, but resting on a table or some hard object before pushing the used lancet into the cap.
