Eggs are a good source of protein and the shells a natural source of calcium. Here my dogs enjoy a whole raw egg for the first time. It's a healthy and fun, albeit messy, treat.

  • you can feed raw eggs?:O any side effects?

  • Feeding anything raw to a dog is still a controversial topic. I've been doing it for almost 6 years and will never go back. I also know dozens of other raw feeders to swear by it, but you'll also get lots of "studies" that will warn you against it. I feed raw eggs to my dogs occasionally. A good source of protein, and as long as you are sanitary about it, there shouldn't be any side effects. I do also try to give them better quality eggs (cagefree, free-range, or organic).

  • Our dog, Jeepers, loves raw eggs - over time he got less messy with them. Now he lays down, holds it with his front paws and crunches a little opening in the side. After he's done, all that's left is a mostly-intact, empty eggshell - and practically nothing gets on the floor.

  • My dog won't eat raw. I've tried. He turns his nose at it. He will, however, eat cooked human food. I imagine raw is probably more healthy, but I figure that it's his palate and his life, so if he wants kibble and canned, that's what I'll give him.

  • hmmm jus curious will the shell cut their gums.. jus alil concerned...is it better t jus crack the whole ache and smash up the shells to tiny bits

  • I feed my dogs raw eggs everyday in their diet with Kirkland food from Costco. They have a beautiful coat and are healthy. Kirkland dogfood is really Eukaduma packaged as Kirkland and half the price.

  • no. I give my dog a raw egg and a raw meaty beef rib every other day as a supplement for kibble. Dogs benefit from and enjoy having raw foods added to their diet. It's what they eat naturally in the wild.

  • I remember the first whole egg I gave my dogs they thought they were toys until my oldest cracked his open then they all went nuts lol.

  • I just love the way dogs eat a raw diet. They love it so much it makes ME hungry.

  • for the first time with an egg they figured it out quite well
