  • I'm doing a biography on him for Humanities :D

  • I spent much of last week with Mandawuy and his lovely wife Yalmay. Sadly, Mandawuy is in very poor health at present he is in desperate need of a kidney transplant - please god his health will continue to improve and he will be put on the transplant list. If you have any kind of faith some prayers for Mandawuy wouldn't go a stay.

  • "His soul is like a fire from iron bark logs: He warms us all night, never flames up long: In morning he dries our dew: Let us start our new day! Enriched by Mandawuy Yunupingu! Tonight pretty boys will dance for us!"

You are the inspiration of the 21st

  • Yeah he looks so healthy here in contrast to the interview on here where he is sick. I hope he gets well, he has this message he wants to share. I hope many are listening.

  • Mandawuy Yunupingu is one of the most beautiful most amazing spiritual persons on this earth i would so love to meet him i met some of YY * one of my all time fave groups!* back in 93 i think it was when they did the first australian gigs at south bank London but alas didnt meet him i love the whole esence of aboriginal affairs esp thier wonderful diversity and culture.

    ROCK ON Mandawuy Yunupingu

  • A young looking Mandawuy!

  • Mandawuy Yunupingu is phenomonal human being - his message in the music of Yothu Yindi and his philosophy for education is one for all Australians - He's an incredible inspiration for the youth of North East Arnhem Land. I had the absloute privledge of hearing Yothu Yindi perform at Garma - their home soil in front of their own people....it was breath taking. Mandawuy's sister Gulumbu Yunupingu is also inspirational - check out The Healing Place website for more information.

  • Awesome! It looks like this interview took place back in the 80's. I look forward to more, thanks for sharing!!
