  • @MQ1611 The "religious mumbo jumbo" you coin is based on Scripture and a tradition laid down by the Apostles, Christ's church builders. (Christ laid the foundation) “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Lk 9:23 Standing at Calvary is meant, I think, as willingness to suffer for Him (Matt. 5:12; Heb. 12:5; 1 Pet 4:12-16) to "take up the cross." Yes, He paid the price alone, but we meet Him there, as He asked us to.

  • The pope is glorifying God in this speech, and how can anyone be so mean and have hatred on this man who his happiest moment is to see everyone happy? this man is Christ like, like we all should be. please no say anything hateful before you try and understand what he is saying. regardless of your faith his words are amazing and comes from the holy spirit no one can say that it dose not..

  • what is the music track used in this?

  • i guess now is the time to watch the passion of christ

  • catholicexodus, Christianity is not about philosophy. do you think you will be able to prove this man wrong in a 10 min video? 20? 30 mins?! this man is a monk, that is, he left this world 50 or 60 years ago, just to spend more time relating to God, and talking to him. this man in particularly, spent many years alone in the desert, not a monastery. many of us today spend more time talking about Jesus than to Jesus, pretending we know anything about Him..

  • I am not Orthodox, unfortunately, but anyone who would call H.H. Pope Shenouda III a heretic is out of his mind. Shame on you, CatholicExodus. May God show you the error of your ways.

This sermon, like all others that I have heard by this holy man of God, is beautiful and absolutely the truth. Thank you for the video, Beshoobasha, and especially for adding subtitles for those of us whose Arabic is not so good. God bless you.

  • What do you expect him to say? That we're enemies? To a real Christian, we are all brothers regardless of faith; that doesn't mean I accept your views, and that doesn't dismiss the fact we are not in communion. Therefore, your point remains to be irrelevant.
