I love this... I wish ms Ross haters will get a life already...every video I go to of Ms.Ross I see these same damn haters all the time...Get a life bitch!..TeamRoss B!TCHES!!
@fahkyooh well the world disagrees with you. You ignorantly dismiss diana's stellar vocals performances too numerous to list, someone who has one of the most recognizable voices in the world, contiues to be popular world over after 50 yrs, was the model & prototype Hoston and others stepped into, she created the mold. had huge success in many musical genres, dance, soul, pop, jazz, standards. Houston was neer anything other than a gospel singer dressed up in a diana ross gown.
@whatigot2say I stopped taking you seriously when you compared random Diana tracks with her average ass voice to the "loud mouth gospel singer" who was known as "THE voice" throughout her career. Don't compare Whitney and Diana. If singing was a dancing competition then Whitney would be dancing circles around Diana. Maybe not anymore, but that doesn't matter. It's about who had it all in their prime, and Diana clearly did not. I Will Always Love You shits on her whole career. Next.
@fahkyooh perhaps you should try actually listening to diana's songs (early career) Theme from Mahagony" "Touch me in the morning" "missing you" "The Boss" to name a few. even Houston does sound as good when she attempts to sing diana's song's. Diana's performances were sheer perfection. Houston was a loud mouth gospel singer at best.
@whatigot2say what unique sound? i'm sorry but her voice isn't unique or special at all. a lot of african american women have her singing tone. whitney however, she truly was special. i'm not talking about today. i'm talking about who really was truly untoppable in their prime. it's like comparing britney and gaga. gaga might be better now, but no female pop act could perform like britney in her prime. and that's just a fact.
@fahkyooh having one of the worlds most distinctive voices hardly rates as average. diana had her own unique sound that couldn't be replicated. true she was never a powerful singer in the lines of a whitney houston but she had a beautiful sound & still sounds very good for someone pushing 70. Houston's voice is beyond repair.
@whatigot2say whitney nowadays does sound awful. but dissing someone's vocals who did drugs for god knows how many years and comparing it to diana's is pretty desperate and isn't going to make diana look any better as a vocalist. diana was always average but now she sings like a 7th grade school girl who is just starting to learn how to use her range lol. :)
