  • @funkateer17 Well I heard and saw Shadow in the UK and was blown away. He wasnt doing a DJ battle, it was the way he mixed the tracks.

  • @harrymerchant456 Are you for real? MPC 60 maybe, but turntables? Come on man, have you never ventured into the world of DJ battles? I used to battle myself, between '97 and '03, and I'd fucking rape Shadow if we went head-to-head!!

  • @myfrankocomplex Yeah I had it on VHS as well. I can't believe I'm now 10 years older than Shadow was when this was filmed. Man I'm old!

  • Those tracks Shadow mixed in the record store were just reall really good, was that all just freestyle?

  • Thank you for posting this!! This little interview introduced me to Shadow, Flash, and the art of turntablism and sampling. I still produce, DJ, make beats, and dig for vinyl to this day. It just goes to show that it doesn't take much for inspiration to occur.

  • There is no one on the planet who had the skills of Shadow on turntables and his MPC 60. The guys entroducing album really shows what he was able to do with very limited gear. But his drum programming skills really shine with the MPC 60 on the album. What a shame he no longer uses the MPC 60. Obvious to me as his music has suffered a lot since switching to the no limitations DAW. And full respect to the GrandMaster.

  • This could have been so much better
