who wrote that quote? reminds me of Ecclesiastes... my favorite book in the Bible written by King Solomon, richest most wisest person to ever live and how he explained everything is meaningless under the sun. The ending tells you what he learned and how his life became meaningful...

The only thing that will make me feel good that I can think of is to die and disappear forever and get my eternal rest or to wake up on the other side and realize this was just all a long dream and there's all my buddies that I thought were dead. We can laugh it off and tell each other how gullible we were.

I feel dirty. I don't want to live in a better world. I don't deserve it.

If the dead people can't have it then I don't think anybody should, either. And all of the goodness and peace will never erase the things we've done before.

Sometimes I think the only meaning we know comes from pain. If even no tears were shed from this point forward and all hte world was clean, it would not bring back all of the dead people and hte sins of the past would still remain. If there was no pain I think we would just create it and start over again.

I just got struck with indecision. If I knew there was a way to make things good in the world and yet I sat, unmotivated to help bring it about, then what meaning is there? If even the whole world could be made can't isn't going to motivate me and make me feel upbeat, then maybe I'm not meant to feel meaning in life.
