Took a day trip to Scotland from London. I was so surprised with its beauty and old world charm. I forgot that my mothers side has some Irish & Scottish ancestry.
The plan was to get to Edinburgh then take a bus to Glasgow but I could not get ahold of the guy I had met in LA just a few weeks prior to the trip who was vacationing in Los Angeles that lived in Glasgow.
I walked around for hours. My feet were very angry with me at the end of the day from walking for about 7 hours non stop as indicated by the pain. I am told I was lucky to have been there on such a sunny cloudless day. I had a great time. I met an English school teacher from Glasgow while in London. He kept correcting me every time I pronounced Edinbergh as "ED-in-Burg" rather than "Edin-burah"
How ironic to post this video of Scotland on youtube when it was a youtube video I watched that inspired the trip as I had already booked the trip to London.
I used to hate bagpipes as a kid, about 4 years ago I heard one "in real-life" and I loved them
