This totally seems typical of the "Hey.... Can you guys come up with something because we have you all listed for a group performance" type of scenario. They don't really appear to be a chapter that specializes in setting-it-out in foreign lands...
They wouldn't be criticized in most US parties at all, so Kudos for Bravery.
