You don't have to stretch anything, use index for 3rd and pinky for 5th, developing your pinky is important, soon you will be able to play 1st and 4th fret without moving your arm.

Believe me, I can't either!

Actually it's pysicaly impossible for me to play the chorus and verse becous my fingers can't stretch from the 3rd fret to the 5th!

@Panten123 Mikey Way used one in this song (I think he actually uses on on all the Danger Days songs.) I played this bass line without a distortion pedal, and even though it sounds a bit different, it still sounds really good. If played along with the song, unless you had a really good ear and are listening for it, I doubt you would be able to tell a difference. I hope that helps. :)
