A Song For Jade (Trailer)

It's the day before his college friends' wedding. As the pending nuptials initiate a certain sour memory, Douglas finds it harder to participate in the ceremony. Five years to the day Douglas lost the object of his affection, his long time love, Jade. As the wedding day draws near, Douglas finds himself reflecting on his missed opportunity. An opportunity aborted at the result of what Douglas believes to be a succession of foolish life choices. Now, five years later, an older and wiser Douglas is convinced he can rekindle Jade's love for him. As such, Douglas devises a plan during which time he will attempt to right his past wrong.

NUVO film critic, Brian Hall, sums this début film effort up best when he says " 'A Song for Jade' is bright, witty, and above the amateur level that one usually expects from short films. Shari Lynn Himes has built herself an almost absurdly strong calling card. She has shown everyone what she can do with a small budget and it's already levels above what many filmmakers do with much greater budgets and much longer running times."
