@ozzie4uk That's just one example. There are many situations where Sankyo can be applied. And if someone is grabbing you, or reaching to grab you. It's about avoiding contact. Don't let them get to you. Make them do what you want them to. Intercept their movements. All this plays a big part in any kind of fighting.

Filmed with a toaster naturally...

In the world I live in, a person would have to be very quick, (not be afraid) and act on instinct or this type of technique will not work. Personally, I think Mr. Seagal is just showing off.

@SHARKREEF2011 im not talking about ki/chi traditional comes from the past times where those techniques were taught to samurais to use during wars against other samurais who were carrying blades and armors some of the traditional aikido techniques have no use today.Im not saying one is better than the other tho, u can still adapt the traditional to real life.
-
@darkdrake13 traditional is real life.you r incorrect.and u want traditional because they teach KI,or chi,(the flow)that alone can save your life.

@hooperqi You're just referring the physical being. It's his ki that's incredibly strong. The more you develop your ki, the less you need to rely on the physical. ;)
