I found gold!! a Canadian, Dr. Brian Day, is opening private hospitals in Canada. On his desk is a photo of him and Fidel Castro. Hows that for a twist!! lol
And, FYI, Canada is the only industrialized country to 'outlaw' private health care. The rest are a mix/hybrid.

Canadians cannot privately pay for health care. PERIOD

Australia also has government run health care
1. Life expectancy is longer there
2. Taxes are only slightly higher there (i.e. 24% for 65k/yr)
3. People are more likely to be denied by their health insurers in the US for life threatening conditions than Australians are to wait for care on a life threatening condition.

Baker is a businessman and not a doctor. His "Timely Medical Alternatives Inc." is just a feeder company for American health care providers from whom he collects a fee (tho I've also read he also charges 95 dollars to the patient). He adds nothing to the health care process but siphons a living from those who can pay to jump the line.

Rick Baker says....(that in in Canada) "It is against the law for a medical provider to accept payment to render medical seervices to the population". Not true. This is what he SHOULD have said. "It is against the law for a medical provider to accept payment to render ANY medical services to the population WHICH THE GOVERNMENT PROVIDES FOR FREE. Its a big difference!
