  • This is clearly the saddest version I have ever heard! Not only is she out of tune, but she cannot even stay in the same key....I grew up with this song in the 50's, and though it is nice to reach for the stars, one should be able to sing on the ground first....

  • @stormygal121 hi thanks for your feedback! can you please recommend a version that you like?

  • omg she is completely out of tune.. the rest of the band are all staring intently at the music....either they're blissfully unaware or cringeing and wanting the earth to swallow them up.

  • @pikupstix56 good enough for jazz :)

  • what audio system did you use to record....sound great

  • @pianistlover2008 thanks a lot. I used a Sony Minidisk MZ-NH700 and a Sony ECM-MS907 condenser microphone. I placed the stereo microphone in "180 degree mode" using the switch on the microphone, and pointed it towards the band. I then did some gentle dynamics compression using my audio software "Compressor" feature to make it sound clearer.

  • To Geoffpeterstrio: The version is the original with Lambert, Hendricks & Ross. I thought it was available on YouTube....I am going to try to locate it now!

  • @geoffpeterstrio thanks for the info, very technical though.....the band is very good, i love music in all aspects and I can tell when there is talent. Those comparation comments are totally silly...and show no respect at all for musicians!

  • Sadly, this tune is over their heads...they're simply not ready for it...check out Lamber, Hendricks and Ross
