Synchronizing Public Transit Authority BUS STOP data WILL enable hyper modern function:
1) Smartphone point/orientation sensitive 'simple text' bus stop schedule:
Texting "51860" (bus stop number) to "33333" gets reply:
51860 [135] 03:49p 03:59p 04:09p [145] 03:57p 04:12p [144] 04:10p [...]
2) Time+Data+Scheduler --> alarm prompt
This G1 should compete with taxis and Mom's "Skipper! Your Bus will pass soon!".

i like. w/ the new iphone rumoured to have a compass built in i bet apple demoes this exact same thing at wwdc on the 8th and people go crazy, but you've already shown it, and shown it well

The Compass mode review (1:44 mark) was well done.
Perhaps fthe technology inclined can do more.
Instead of the clip's 'movement oriented panoramic photography' shown, better would be showing TRANSIT info, like Bus Stop Schedules.
Android Handset owner could then access bus schedules and/or forward via texting to simple cell phone user (perhaps a relative) in text format as from Vancouver, BC, Canada Translink : to 33333 of message 50215
