Mike Patton Angel Dust Sessions Interview (Part 1)

MTV popped by to record enough footage to shake a stick at of the band recording their fourth studio album, Angel Dust. The footage of the band recording and dicking about was interspersed with some interviews with band members. Seeing as the Jim Martin interview is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ORQ94nYQ2g and I cannot find this one, I decided to upload the one of Mike Patton who goes on for nearly an hour and a half! See him eat sandwiches, talk about Right Said Fred, obsessive fans, the oddities in the area where he lives and Angel Dust (obviously) among other things.

Watch out for a cameo from Roddy too!

I love a lot Patton's music but he's just an arrogant asshole. I hope he has realized it now, as a musician I never talk shit about others craft, mike's been involved in alot of shitty projects that no one will ever like. He deserves any shit anyone ever talks about him. Great musician but he can eat a fat dick and die for all I care.

@BareBandSubscription , I couldn't agree more. You definatley get an idea where the off the wall poetry, awesome vocals and intense direction of the music is coming from. I fricken love it. Though I would be cautious running into him while he's lit up. Definatley has that personality that would make you feel uncomfortable like he could snap and kill you at any moment.

The guy has serious Andy Kaufman quality about him. It's hard to tell what's sarcasm, what he's making up on the spot, and what's sincere. He comes off as a guy who could be sincere for an entire conversation but manage to convince you otherwise. He's one of the few artists I could honestly call enigmatic because he's so meticulous ,and yet presents himself as almost shallow, that you can't tell if he's orchestrating the whole thing or not. He could be a fucking sociopath for all I know.

Lots of comments about how arrogant Mike is. I've always suspected that he has Asperger's syndrome. I used to work with people with AS, some of Mike's mannerisms are similar. I could be way off though...
