Anno 1404 Dawn of Discovery - Orient Gameplay

Well, first 10 mins of playing the Orient. This is chapter 7 of the Campaign, a tutorial type map for Orient. Tents then Dates then Milk , since there's no tools production and limited wood, you can buy them from the Orient and Occident empire's main island.

I have a problem with these damn date plantations -.-" I put them right NEXT TO THE FUCKING WATER BUILDING and they still say not fertile -.-" wtf?

@dinocro111 You sure that island is fertile for dates? It should have a small date icon at top middle of screen. My video upload at 0:48 onwards, you can see my island is suitable for dates, clay and dye from the icons.

You have to buy date fertilizer from the Orient and then use it at the warehouse of that island Or find another island suitable for dates. Water not equal to fertile...

Maybe, I just don't like how things build miraculously by you clicking. I'd rather see little peoples building it like more realism.

Is it mandatory for me to be friends with the orient?

Can I choose to be friends with Western countries only, and declare war with the Oriental countries?

Wich one is better? 1701 or 1404?

@21aektzis you should buy a letter from the trademan for hounor and load it into your ship, go with that ship to the orient and he will take the letter, than you'll get prestige

@DualShardScorpion - How is that a fail? If you have good PC hardware like I do then most games look better on the PC than any console version.
