Billy Wilder - Sceptical Messages from a Cinematic Exile. - Billy Wilder is one of Hollywood's most famous directors. "Some Like It Hot", "Witness for the Prosecution" or "Sunst Blvd." are classics that can't be avoided in film history class and on tv. Previous publications about these works primarily concern themselves with amusing anecdotes - especially those which Wilder himself told (and possibly made up) so well. In addition, however, sophisticated aesthetic structures can be discovered in these popular films. Doch, das ist mein heiliger Ernst, im Buch auf S.254f. ausgeführt, mit mehr Beispielen und Argumenten. Weiteres folgt bald in "Filmbild und Körperwelt" (erscheint Januar 2011). Da geht es dann noch um ein Beispiel von Wilders Lehrmeister Ernst Lubitsch.
