Aldous was a man of great perspicacity, his mild mannered delivery style belies the depth and immediacy of his perspective. It seems people do not readily listen or absorb ideas unless the personality delivering them is Uber animate and aggressive. It is no-wonder that we flock to the manufactured quasi-deities that cavort before the masses with their insipid platitudes and vulgar appeals to nationalistic cliche's-Obama is a classic creation of this type.
