the city of lackawanna, located immediately south of buffalo, once prided itself on the bethlehem steel plant along the city's lakeshore. 25 years after the plant closed, the streets of lackawanna today seem a bit empty or even lonely, despite the fact that the population of the city remains around 20,000. now, we take a look at these streets and various other locations within the city to take a look at how the city has coped over the last quarter century...

@buffalo729 Samwe feeling here my friend. I was raised in Lackawanna; studied at Queen of All Saints School, Roosevelt School and Father Baker High. Nothing here about the Basilica of Our Lady of Victory, Nor the Botanical Gardens, and many other places I remember fondly! By the way, I was raised in Baker Homes in the 1st. Ward. Now I live in Puerto Rico. Quite a switch huh?

I grew up in Lackawanna and graduated from LHS. I feel you have poorly portayed this fine city in the most spiteful,negative way. No pics of the Basilica, Fran and Ceils, Pat's? No views of the town from South Park Avenue? If you are from this area you should feel disgraced at this "product" if not you're probably just a very unhappy person
