Impressive first dance at Allerton Castle, Yorkshire

When filming wedding videos, one can quickly spot certain trends. Some of these are dictated by fashion, others by magazines trying to create a new must-have. As television is a very strong medium today, one can expect documentaries of celebrity weddings to have an influence when planning a wedding. Although the first dance is a long held tradition at weddings, I didnt expect Strictly Come Dancing to have made such a strong impact and welcome impact. The traditional shuffle-shuffle has made room for elaborate and well-choreographed dances. Although we have seen some great dancing in the past as we were once part of a universitys dance competition team, I was truly impressed by Brian and Claires first dance at their wedding at Allerton Castle. In this gorgeous Yorkshire venue we were treated to a dance worthy of top marks! Starting at the top of the beautiful grand staircase of Allerton Castle, they were soon flying across and even above the dance floor. Their wedding guests were more then surprised and although we filmed their dance as part of their wedding video, the crowd had no intention to wait for this film and demanded an encore within minutes of the first performance. Sylvia and I feel privileged to have been part of Claire and Brians wedding day and wish them all the best in their married life. If the effort and love they put into this first dance is anything to go by, theyre sure to have a life of wedded bliss ahead of them.
