In Search of Berlin -24 Hour Film Racing 2008 Submission (Vancouver)

Made within 24hrs on June 20th 2008, In Search of Berlin is a documentary-style short film of just under 3 minutes made for the 24hr Vancouver Film Race.

This biographical documentary is the story of my friend Jake Berlin, a Vancouver-based skate boarder. I wanted the main focus to be on him, and so, thankfully, the theme "greed" that we were given at the beginning of the race, fit easily into his life. Not the way you think....

This is a story about choices and values and how this skateboarder, Jake, juxtaposes material possessions against the thrill of "the ride" and following his true passions.

This was my first dabble as a director...it's raw, but can you feel it....?!!!
