*Note to all viewers: This IS a poem, even though it doesnt include rhyming words. I got an A on it in class!
all pictures and poetry BELONG TO ME.
These are my original words, and the video was also created by me.
I wrote this poem to show just what jumping means to me, and how everytime i ride i am always humbled by the sheer power and strength of horses. I know the words are hard to read on the screen so i re-wrote my poem here!
"The Jump"
Cantering...
collected, smooth, exiting,
and daydreaming my way
across the arena.
Scared!
Quickly my reins tighten,
my leg stays firm,
and my instructor,
jabbering to me
like a tape in fast forward.
And before I know it,
My body,
lifting high above the ground,
is...
weightless.
But as I land,
my heart racing,
I only wish for
another lap around.
Cantering,
extended, fast, exiting,
and trying my hardest
to bring myself back down to earth...
