  • Can anyone tell me how thick leather this machine can sew? I'm planning on making leather gun holsters. Thanks!!!

  • @td84 this machine is for garment weight leather, upholstery, fabrics etc... For gun holsters, you'll need a much heavier machine - take a look at the Techsew GA5-1R.

  • iam from hebron .shoesmaker town .we only use the pfaff model 34 and 36-35 its very old types .and the old singer its doing a hard work in thick leather but pfaff stoped making this types caz its work for 400 year :)

  • I have a pfaff 467-6/01 BS and I can't find Instruction and Service manual. Help please.

  • I have this machine model and I was wondering which kind of leather needle can work on it? It has to be specific to this machine or it can be any kind of leather needle? I'm not too familiar with industrial machine and I'm just getting hang of it hehe

  • I think it is the silver roulette on the lower right of the machine.

  • hey I have this sewing machine (463) don't you know how can I find how to tension the thread from the spool of thread to the needle..I'm gonna Apreciate your help!

  • @bigfatquitter make sure its threaded correctly.from the bobbin to two hole eyelet guide at rear/top of faceplate.through the eyes down to small tension sometimes best to wrap around twice.then up to bobbin on holder.

make sure the bobbin is held on the stem of spool filler by small spring or on older machines open prongs to allow spool to be nipped on.when stop is pusged down, the spool filler should spin when running machine.if not take face off.check mech it should spin, adrop oil may help.

  • part 2.

if spool is not spinning when you push stop part down ,take off face plate and check mechanism from inside.when pushing stop up ,it should spring when it reaches optimum position[ie spool full]

a drop oil helps it spin.you will see the round crank in the head which drives the wheel when the stop is in the filling position.[kev sewing machine tech]

    ps hope this helps

  • I have a pfaff 481-6/01 & I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the bobbin winder work. I love this machine but I kindof need some bobbins! Please help. I love industrial sewing machines! Thanks for your videos!
