Skate or Die! 26,390 points on Freestyle

This is a tool-assisted video of the game Skate or Die for the Nintendo Enternatinment System. It was made using save states and frame advance.

I believe 26,390 to be the highest possible score. There is a 9,000 point bonus for doing all six different types of tricks, so it is worth it to do five tricks that are worth fewer points. I do the tricks that are worth fewer points on the right side, because the point value is doubled on the left side if you jump from one side of the ramp to the other during a trick.

The trick done on the left is an aerial with a 720-degree turn, two board grabs, and passing from one side of the ramp to the other, which is worth the most points of any trick (by far). It is very difficult, but possible, for a human to land this trick (I've managed one before). The hand plant and rail slide need to be timed to within 1/60 of a second in order to get maximum points, so it is unlikely a human could attain a maximum score.
