This movie scared the crap outta me when i was little. but i may go back and watch it again. I don't know why the characters aren't given more credit in disney...I guess this movie is in the so-called "lower" class with atlantis and other disney films that didn't have the conventional heroes for their time. But the unconventionals are the best kinds!! Also, the darker overtone of this movie reminds me of the land before time. (though i wasn't afraid of that one)

It did okay, but wasn't part of when Disney started to get back on track in 1989 when The Little Mermaid came out.
