What is the make of the shower water heater?

Beautiful job all-around. Do you have any concerns about keeping the LP tank inside the cabin? And is that shower hose long enough for convenient handling? It seems compared to all the effort/expense in other matters, you might consider plumbing the LP in from outdoors and extending the shower pipe into the stall. One more thing, do you keep a spare water pump/spare parts for it; they can be troublesome and it is a very important item in your system. Just looking at it from a bystander's POV.

Very nice, but the recurring theme I see in the off grid world is using house wire for DC.
Have you actually studied how far you run the line for your water pump and how much loss you get by having too few strands carrying too much load?
If you look at wire for a car stereo amplifier, you will see that it has multiple hair-thin strands. So few people understand this...even those who install solar systems do not get it.
I encourage you to check on this. You might be ok, but I would make sure :)

Yep, I only use stranded wire, not house wire - did a bunch of research before installing the solar & pump systems.

Thanks! It is a 20lb/5gal propane tank. The shower uses very little propane (if you don't take long showers). We have been using the same tank for about a year and a half, and don't think we have used half the tank.. We make it to the cabin about one long weekend a month, sometimes twice a month with a week here or there in the summer. Also still using the original "D" cell batteries that ignite the propane.
