  • @nsanthan -- Dear Sir or Madam; Respectfully, I suggest it's not a 'tune-up' but a traditional element of introduction & coming-together; a kind of reverential pause, moment of reflection to clear mind of distraction, find one's center, gather & focus awareness of all selves present in the place & moment, to align in common purpose w/ performers & audience, nodding respect to past masters, teachers & friends. One doesn't just rush-in and 'begin' but warms-up & settles-in to focus & LISTEN.

  • ive been a great fan of your playing. i learn so much myself from his playing. i pray to God taht you live long.

    regards,

     Sharat.

    Thank you! Much praise!

  • the music starts at 1:50---perhaps it is better to cut the tuning part out?
