Oksana Chusovitina performs her two optional vaults in the team competition of the 1991 World Championships. She scores a 9.912 on her first vault and a 9.925 on her second vault. Along with her compulsory vault score she qualifies 6th into the event finals. Her teammates Svetlana Boginskaya and Tatiana Lysenko qualify ahead of her (1st and 3rd respectively), but Chusovitina replaces Lysenko in the event finals. She ties with Henrietta Onodi for the silver medal.
Oksana had the 7th highest optional total in the competition.
Great power a very nice vault Back then the scoring system was a lot different it was much easier to get a 10 but I would have given her first vault a 9.75 and her second a 9.8
