King Mohammed VI greets his people

I was wandering around the ouskirts of Marrakech when a big security operation started and rumours that king Mohammed VI was going to be passing through. As I walked up towards the Royal Palace I came across this large crowd gathered outside the main gates. Looking around I could see I appeared to be the only westerner present so I felt it was a good opportunity to capture a unique Moroccan moment. After a while expensive looking black cars emerged from the entrance at high speed, one of them stopped and a man got out waving to the crowd, it was King Mohammed VI. The crowd got even noisier. He started running to the crowds followed in hot persuit by his anxious security guards. When he got to the people they grabbed him and he grabbed them, he hugged an attractive young girl and kissed her. He came right over to the people infront of me. Within seconds it was all over and he was back in his car and whisked away, closely followed by a modern looking ambulance. One of the cars that passed by had a guy with a video camera filming the crowd as he passed. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good shot of all this because I was concerned about getting in trouble with the security guys, but I think I captured the excitment and atmosphere of this unique moment
