Kotta Pora - Sinhala new year game that playing by two university lecturers of USJP

This is a famous Sinhala new year game, "Kotta Pora" competition that attack using a pillows. This was organized my the Department of Economics of University of Sri Jayawardenepura. Special thing is in this video the competitors are the lecturers of the same department of economics. They came to compete eachother due to the special invitation by the students.

We thought the well built gentleman, Dr. Sandaruwan de Silva will win, but Mr.Ananda won the game. Reason is balance and speed is important for this game.

The attacking pillows made by filling cloths to a pillow cover. While attacking one arm stay tough with the backside of the trousers belt and can't move that hand. And the competitors have to stay balanced manner on the horizontal pole. The persong firstly falling from the pole or get both hand to balance to stay in the pole will be defeted.
