Pit Bulls are seen in so many eyes as furociuos, dangerous animals that need to be illiminated from the face of the earth. With this comes most whom has never been near one. Most who cannot tell the difference between them and many other dogs out there. I had my Pit Bull for 7 yrs. untill she was put down due to full blown cancer. She loved people, and especially children. She liked being a part of a family. They want to be loved, that is all they ask for.

My dog is completely safe around other dogs, cats, and children. He would never hurt anyone. He was dumped by the side of the road in the dead of winter when he was a puppy... beaten and starved. He shied away from my husband's hand (afraid of being hit), until he learned that all humans aren't monsters and that we would never hurt him.

Pits need to be wiped out. I owned one just to prove a point that they are not vicious dogs had him for 7 years I was never mean to it never hit him or kick him, took him for a walk one morning and out of the blue for no reason he attacked me ripped my stomach wide open. I had to pull my 1911 an unloaded 8 rounds to kill him. Pits need to be WIPED OUT

If only more people knew what truly wonderful friends & companions Pit Bulls are! Seven years ago spouse & I refused to have ANYTHING to do with Pit Bulls or Pit/mixes because of their media driven bad reputation. That changed when we agreed to temporarily take in, VERY reluctantly, an abandoned Pit mix puppy. That "pup" has now been with us for 7 years and we fell so much in love with him we adopted two more (one from the HS and one that was a stray). We're Pit LOVERS today!
