tar, you are one big dumbass. so am i a machine? i never learned how to sign til i was about 14. i go to a very good state university and you are saying he is not good enough to be a school president? shit, you deaf people are driving me fucking insane. you all have to say shit about orals and other bullshit. i wish i can shove my fucking head up your fucking asshole. be OPEN to others and try to learn their sides. you are very fucking biased.

Excuse me, Tar...calling current and former oralists machines is rather insulting. You've insulted me in a way regardless whether you claimed that language concept. Fuck if you know since you never experience in the oral environment, therefore you shouldn't make those such assumption at all. You really don't deserve that kind of respect....not even from me.

I don't agree with you that because Hurwitz was raised orally, that means he will keep his oral philosphy, because it's hard to change. I was raised orally (and "successfully"), and today, I am a strong supporter of ASL and Bi-Bi education.
That said, I do agree with you that I don't see Hurwitz as a strong supporter for change in HOW Deaf education and Deaf culture is handled and viewed by our society, unfortunately. Yes, he signs, but he is still a victim of the oralist ideas.

Smiles... yeah I know what you mean but the BOTTOMLINE is he signs and that would be a GREAT insult to Central Institute for the Deaf at St. Louis where he was brought up. Also, President of any of Deaf University should not be on netural side bec he doesn't know what he is talking about or doing and did not accomplish to solve many issues in RIT/NTID all along when I was student there since seven years ago I was enrolled there again. He is out of order to be President of GU because he is not the second image of Laurent Clerc's success bec he has his own brainwash by AGBELL s philosophy views and did not change for the better at all. Same with his wife as well.

Maybe I didn't clear up in this point. Dr. T. Alan. Hurwitz doesn't understand the whole access of the language. In his presentation, you could tell that he seen confused with it. I wish that I could also add MOST of the machine people are alike that. I know youre one of machine but youre not THAT! =)
