@HFLCHARGERS atleast once shes bigger.. as a juvenile, the other fish are fine, and if you keep her full, she could co-exist with other tank mates, but why risk it
-
@HFLCHARGERS no. #1 the other small fish would become food, and #2, 75 gal is the absolute minimum one should be kept in (IMO anyway, some will say 50 is the minimum but that will be a pretty stressed cephalopod). they like to move.

do you think that would fit in a 55 gallon tank with other small fish?
-
She looks so tasty!!!
But in all seriousness what an amazing looking pet, I would love to have one but would need a tank 10x the size to justify it.
-
How hard is it to keep an octopus i was thinking about getting one.
-
@cynthx that 75g tank doesnt even allow her to swim at any great length either. Id guess it that the tank is probably 3/4times too small.

@rockerkitty294 i know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is something about watching an octopus with La Roux blasting in the background that is absolutely hilarious
She's very beautiful. However, I don't believe in keeping cephalapods at pets. Octopus are very intelligent creatures. She is probably very aware that she is in a box from the way she feels her way around the walls of the tank. These creatures are beautiful and majestic, and even though I would love to have one in my company, I could not bring myself to hold one in captivity knowing that it would flourish in the ocean.

an octopus is an amazing creature and I can understand why someone would want one as a pet. however, they are an animal that is simply better off left in nature.
