Do ids in heading tags affect search engines?

Does using a class or an id in a header tag instead of plain headers interfere with the way search engines sees and understand headings?

Well I think the question means if we have h1 and set the font size to 10px as normal text, is Google smart enough to track that.

I personally think you are smart enough to understand this question and I also think Google is too.

Thanks a lot for answering my question. I was a little bit worried about it as most of my competitors don't use this kind of class/id nor even headings at all and they all overank me :-)
