  • hey, i am seting up a radio station for my town, I am planning to get a licsense from the FCC so I dont get troubles..but what do i need other than a FM transmitter and an antenna? Please help

  • @republicansarecool Soory, I have no idea. I never worked with transmitters or antennas. My work was strictly in-studio. You may want to google that info.

  • Do you control any of the EQ from the studio or is it all done from the engineering room?

  • I didn't deal with any of the EQ.

  • @republicansarecool i can tell you if you have not already found out you need microphone, mixer, music source (computer,cd player, etc.) transmitter, fm audio generator/processer,antenna and that should do it

  • where are u guys at

  • @pinblaster77 Actually, I found a while ago that this is because some of it was cut out. What all did you cut out? I'm guessing it's because you had to go check the other stations to make sure they'd ID themselves at the top of the hour, but I see you changed the Web site on the computer, too, so I don't know what was cut out.

  • @republicansarecool whats your station called??????????

  • u r really jamming

  • @lxswrx thanks man! I bought myself a HLLY 20 watt transmitter and antenna! All i need is an miboard and audio limiter....

  • that face you make at 7:09 is priceless. I remember my first time on the radio. lol

  • Oops, I thought "No One Like You" by Scorpions was supposed to come on, not "Fire Woman" by Colt. Or was Scorpions after Colt? I enjoyed watching you talk on the air, though. It would have been cool if you could hook the camera up to the mixer, so we could hear exactly what it would sound like on the radio with the music bed and everything.

Regarding Scott Studios, I think it's now Wide Orbit something-or-other. There's also iMediaTouch. Rivendell or Broadcast Power are two free ones.
