what about steaming vegetables?

I agree. In the Ayurvedic system of health, which is the oldest in the world, almost everything is cooked. I am like you a 50/50 kinda guy and even eat some organic meat and fish now and then

@Kevin41890 for how long did you or have you eaten raw in your whole life? do you eat at least 6 times a day while on a raw organic diet? how many times did you juice? or make protein nutritionally dense smoothies?.. what type of water do you drink and how much daily? I was Overweight now a Gymnast and been eating raw for 6 years, I fly! look leaned and way more ripped that most gym gurus...so how is it that nutrition dense clean organic food filled with Life get you more tired?? Imao

It's hard to get natural skin radiance wintertime in Montreal. I agree with LuvSawy.
Media projects very unrealistic image of what a woman's face looks like, all that chemical
makeup only builds up toxicity in exchange of fake looks.
No color around the eyes is actually healthy ... some people are just fair-skinned.

@nicoatvan I think she's just not wearing makeup. Most of us have gotten used to seeing women in makeup and have forgotten what a natural face looks like. She looks fine, in my opinion.

you look unhealthy.. no colour around your eyes and no colour or vibrance in your skin. i was raw for a year and i went paleo for half a year. i feel great eating a cooked and raw food diet combined.

@jackdentreprenuer That's because you can't just live off of vegetables, you need fruit more then vegetables. Read the 80/10/10 book and then go raw. Plus, you need to give it about a month to feel the full benefit of being raw. Your body is cleaning itself when you're eating raw, thus making you feel kind of shitty. The shitty feeling only lasted about 3 days for me.

i ate nothing but SPINACH, the healthiest of all grocery store vegetables, for 48 hours, and my health started collapsing, real-time. the Only thing that saved me was DAIRY products. yogurt, milk, and cheese, are the only thing that's keeping the standard american from surviving. Because of the probiotic cultured bacteria. raw grass fed meat is also an equivalent source of beneficial bacteria.

grocery store PLANT Foods are ALL COOKED (anti-biotic). the pesticides, destroy all there beneficial pro-biotic bacteria. Therefore, absolutely, no reason to, ingest such a dark force of destruction. ... the best option, sauerkraut (home made), raw dairy qephor (organic pastures), raw grass fed meat, probiotic infused water.
Natasha! I love your energy and dedication, but I have to disagree. On a raw food diet I was drained--I ate lots of vegetables, fruit, juice, soaked seeds and nuts (mostly local/organic), etc. I've found the best diet for my lifestyle to be a hybrid of both raw and cooked food--raw foodism just wasn't for me! If you're into peer-reviewed research, Google "The Energetic Significance of Cooking". The article discusses some benefits (e.g absorption) of cooked vs raw food.
Keep on posting :)

@Kevin41890 I definately agree about the cooked food things. I've tried raw food diets and just felt low energy and sick all the time. As soon as cooked food becomes reintroduced into the diet, I feel amazingly better. I'm all for avoiding packaged ready to eat foods, but I still think steamed veggies, for me, are more nutritious than raw.
