My husband and I enjoyed your video. You and he must have crossed paths at sometime. He went to West Fairmont class of '58. I was from east side. The photos brought back lots of memories. We were back 2 summers ago for my reunion. A great weekend. Enjoyed your music and your other videos too. We are out west, but we will always love West Virginia. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful! The Prine song was so apt. You sing and play it with such great feeling. Job well done. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful and poignant. I too have been displaced by miles, memories and time. The Fairmont you returned to was my home of the same era and so I thank you for finding the voice for those of us wondering "how it slipped away". You put life in Prine's song and made it real.
Collasessano's pizza and buns, Poky Dot after the football games at East-West Stadium. The Watson Mansion. Muriale's restaurant, 3 Ways Inn. Lupo's hot dogs, B&L hot dogs. Country Club Bakery, Basketball games at the armory. Just a few of the things I miss about Fairmont.

I liked the bread and the buns at CC Bakery! That place smelled soooo good! 'Got my first illegal six pack from North Pole Ice. I never went to Yann's after the article in the Fairmont Times about finding dog food cans in his dumpster. I used to put a rug against the bottom of my door (so my parents wouldn't see) and listened to Night Beat on WMMN until they signed off. I went to Fleming Elementary school, Fairmont Junior High in the old Dunbar building and Fairmont West.

Russ Yann sold me my first case. I never heard about the dog food. I went to Jr. Hi at Dunbar too. Bob Keefover was the DJ I think.
I totally agree with your political stance. Stock up on ammo. The revolution is coming !!!

I grew up on the same block as your grandparents house in Bellview. I spent a lot of time in Morgantown while going to college at WVU and after college I moved away myself. After a few years I got a better job back in WV and moved home. Things sure do look different once you have been away for some time. I couldn't imagine seeing Fairmont after 45 years away! And you are quite right about the girls. Then again I have noticed pretty girls everywhere I have been!
